SAN MARCOS, Calif. (UPI) -- A California couple who boasted on the "Dr. Phil" show on television about selling shoplifted items on the Internet now face federal charges.

Matthew Allen Eaton, 34, and Laura Renee Eaton, 26, of San Marcos have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of conspiracy to transport stolen goods across state lines, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. Federal officials said Monday that the couple were arrested by the Secret Service on Friday.

During their "Dr. Phil" appearance, the Eatons claimed to make as much as $3,500 a week shoplifting toys and selling them on eBay and other Internet sites. The show aired a videotape showing them on a shoplifting expedition with their three children.

Their house was searched in March, and federal agents seized toys and a car.
